Workshop on the gut-brain connection at the 8th Long Night of Science

On 17 June 2023, the 8th Long Night of Science was held at the Max Delbrück Communications Centre in Berlin. Our Deputy Project Coordinator, Dr. Chotima Böttcher held a captivating and engaging workshop: "Gut Feeling: How the Gut Talks to the Brain", which attracted professionals and individuals of all ages.

The workshop stimulated an engaging discussion on how the gut can influence brain function and vice versa, as well as the complexity of factors involved in the transition from health to disease. Attendees actively participated and contributed to an insightful exchange of ideas.

Dr. Böttcher presented ongoing projects to which Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin is contributing, including the esteemed IMMEDIATE project.

Events like this serve as a great platform for knowledge exchange and bring science closer to the public.
